Here at LeatherSeats.com, we only use the highest quality materials. All of our leather is vat dyed and finished to automotive grade specs. All of our matching vinyl is also finished to automotive grade specs. In order to keep our leather interior and accessory prices as low as possible we order our leather hides by the drum and our vinyl by the roll. Thus we do offer the same hides and vinyl that we use in our products direct to the public. Vinyl is available by the linear yard, where as leather is a completely natural product and will vary in shape and size. Leather hides are not measured by the yard like vinyl, but rather they are measured by square feet. We specifically sell our leather by the quarter hide; half hide, or whole hide. Average hide sizes are 45-55 square feet for a whole hide.
If you are thinking of creating your own masterpiece and want to use the same leather that we made your leather interior out of, no problem! All of our leather is top-grain, automotive-grade, and vat-dyed. Whether you are building a one-off show car or restoring a classic Dusenberg, our hides are what you need! Since leather is a natural product, each one will be different. Our hides are typically 45-55 square feet.
Want a more affordable way to cover some of those pieces or are you just trying to cover something that is almost impossible to cover in leather? Vinyl is a much more flexible material and it is also thinner than leather and so you will be able to stretch it and curve it over many different types of surfaces. We have matching vinyl for almost all of our regular colors! Our vinyl comes in a 54” width and 36" length.
